Major Project Unit - Types of Cuts

I have decided to look into the exact names for different types of cuts I can make. I have decided to look into this as I am trying to be as professional as I can be, and knowing the proper names and knowing all the cuts I can possibly make it will give me more options to what I can do with editing a scene. LAvideofilmmaker.com posted a series of GIFs showing and naming different types of cuts.

1. Cutting on action

A lot of these types of cuts I have used before and some I haven't. I may have used them before but not known the correct way to refer to them. Number 1 and 2a I have done before, but the others I have not done before. These may be simple cuts but looking at these cuts and being knowledgable about them will help me with a starting point to look at how to edit each scene; I am already having ideas for scenes to use these cuts for.
