Professional Practise (Applying for Work Experience)

   I have been looking for work experience for a few weeks now and I have applied for many work experience roles as well as messaging companies to see if I can work with them. I will write about each company I have applied for and why I have chosen them.

Studio Production (Initial Idea 6)

   I have looked into other gameshows that have sports as a theme for it. I have done this to take notes on how they have set up their stage, camera positioning, how the audience is involved or the interaction with them, stage set up etc.

   Two main shows I have looked at are 'Bullseye' and 'Big Break'. Both these shows have been some of the most successful gameshows aired on British Television. Both with being aired over 10 years with 14-15 series' behind them. Both of these shows had everything facing the audience so it was presenting it to them, which is a commonly used and successful set up. But with my show I am aiming to have it not all in the audiences eye by having the set round a circular table, so I will have to rethink that idea or add emphasis to facing the contestants with camera coverage.

     

Studio Production (Initial Idea 5)

   After doing some research into similar game shows to mine, ones that incorporate sports into their show also if there were any other poker themed game shows. Whilst looking though some of these shows, I discovered a show that was on ITV back in 2006 which was also called 'PokerFace' and was themed around poker.

   Even though the game is different to mine, the fact it has the same name concerns me. I am currently thinking of other names to call it but cannot find anything as memorable as 'Pokerface'. I will think of a title for my presentation, but I will also mention how it is a working title and can be changed if need be if my idea is chosen.
