Professional Practise (Coffee Films)
I have emailed a local independent film company called 'Coffee Films' to see if I can get work experience from them. They are based in Maidstone but the company started from a group of friends and has grown into a successful film company who have established themselves worldwide for their work. I am hoping they will message me back even though it stated on their website that it would be unlikely for them to hire work experience currently, I am hoping for them to consider me none the less.
Studio Production (Chosen Concept)
The idea chosen for the television production is a panel show called 'What you Sayin?' which talks about current events and happenings, but instead of having well known people, or celebrities, members of the general public are used. I believe this concept for a television show is very strong and could possibly be commissioned in real life for an actual broadcasted TV show for a top channel.
Studio Production (My Role)
I have been assigned the role of D.O.P. Opening Titles/Behind the Scenes. I am in charge of creating the opening titles, promoting the television show, co-creating the Behind the Scenes.
I am excited and happy with this role as I feel it suits me perfectly and I am looking forward into looking into different areas I haven't looked into before. Also the responsibility of creating work from someone else idea is also something I am looking forward to. All the time in the past I have created work from my own ideas, this way it will be more like working in a professional environment which will be challenging for me but I believe I can do it.
Studio Production (Initial Idea - Interview)
I had my interview today for roles within the selected television show idea. I applied for three roles, assistant producer....
I felt I could have done better in my interview as I was mainly focussing on the assistant producer role, I did not look too much into the other roles. So I was not prepared enough for the questions asked about them which was unprofessional of me.
I was told that my CV was good, well played out and well structured. But, I did miss out some important parts such as my qualifications and also separating my employment from my work experience. I am currently working on correcting these errors for when I need to use my CV for finding employment.

Studio Production (Initial Idea 7 - Pitch)
I have given my pitch for my idea to the executive producers. I believe I could have done a lot better with my pitch as I missed out some key areas from it such as who I had in mind to use as a presenter, time scheduling and visual style. Also I was told that as poker was the main theme of my gameshow it would have to be on either a non mainstream channel or on at a later time due to the gambling factor involved with in it. I am still happy with my idea as I feel like it is an interesting concept, but maybe it would be more suitable for an online platform i.e. Youtube. A gameshow shown online would be a unique and a forward step to online media and gaining more interest, but still, it is not a suitable idea for the criteria given to me.
