Fiction Adaption (Initial Idea 16)

   I have put out another advert for an actor for my film but for a different role. I have put an advert out for the character of a murder victim, who will be killed by the main character. I have asked some people I know to be in my film as well, but for minor roles I didn't feel people would have been keen on applying for. I am also looking to using my brother in the film as he has a strong acting background and am currently considering him to play the character who sexually abuses the main character. I will post more about this when I plan some more or get more information back from it.

Digital News Production (Planning 24)

   The other day I received a phone call from Rolf Williams, who is the communications officer for RSPB Kent. He called me up to say he is able to be interviewed for our live piece on Lodge Hill. He was very helpful with the information he gave me about planning for the interview, as he says he has a background in journalistic media. We are currently planning to film this friday or monday, depending on when he is available, and we also updating the script as we are going to add the questions in that we are going to ask him, as well as taking out the box pops we were planning to do with local residents. We have decided to do this because it will take too much time from the interview and would have been more suitable if this was a package piece instead.

Fiction Adaption (Initial Idea 15)

   After putting my advert up on call casting pro, I have had 6 applications for the role. I have narrowed the applicants down by half after looking at each candidate and their application, and deciding who would and would not be suitable for the role. I will post more on this when I have made a decision on who I want to offer an interview, as well as waiting to see who else applies for the role.

Fiction Adaption (Initial Idea 14)

   I have just purchased some props for my film off of ebay. I have purchases a pint of fake blood, fake blood capsules and a retractable knife (a knife that goes in on itself to create the illusion of someone getting stabbed). These props are vital to my film as if I used a real knife for the stabbings, or the stabbing motions, it would be very unsafe and would be a risk to the cast and crew filming on the day. There will be a real knife in the shot but it will not be a part of any stabbing motions, but after post production editing it will hopefully give off the illusion a real knife was used. And I have purchase fake blood and fake blood capsules because I feel it is the simplest and easiest way to create a realistic effect of blood. Other possibilities would be using after effects, but as I am still learning how to use it it would not be the best option to go with. Also with the use of after effect it may come across fake or false, more than what the fake blood I have purchased would be.

Fiction Adaption (Initial Idea 13)

   Referring back to my post 'Fiction Adaption (Initial Idea 2)', I have decided to go ahead with my plan to create a soundscape as the soundtrack to my film. A soundscape is where noises from everyday objects, not instruments, are used to create music. I am going to continue planning my filming some more and will focus on the soundscape last as it is not too high of importance at the moment. But I will also look for background music online as a backup, just in case the soundscape does not go according to plan.
