Commissions (Personal Reflection)

My input to this documentary I feel has been vital to its success. I edited the finished version of the documentary, I created the end credits and edited all the footage, apart from the interview with Steven and roughly half of the cutaways, were taken and framed by myself, the audio levels were adjusted to the correct level and also I have obtained the music that we are using in the documentary, which has turned out to be very influential to how it has turned out.
I do feel that I could have improved in certain parts within this project such as my organisation skills with blogs and working times and I could have done more work in shorter time as some of my work has been left late or could have been done a lot sooner. Apart from these factors I believe that I have performed very well on this unit.

Commisions (Documentary Team Reflection)

I believe that our team performed really well on this project. We have created a very high standard documentary that tells a story well and is very good visually too. There are some parts though that I think we could have improved on. Firstly, we should have had some actuality within the documentary. We did try very hard to get this but the people at 'YLF' did not communicate with us well about the times when we could do so. Another bad point is that we couldn't get Holly and Louise to meet at the end. This would have been a suitable fitting ending to the story but we could not get them to do so. We once again constantly tried through out to get them to meet but we couldn't; both of these flaws were out of our control and we couldn't have done anything else more to obtain this piece of footage.
I also feel that our communication could have been better, sometimes I felt that I was excluded from the other two members within the group, during the editing process they actually took over my role, leaving me with nothing to do until I got control of editing again which is what I wanted. Even though we have had some problems and disagreements with each other, I feel that with out every members input the documentary would not have come out as good as it has.
