Studio Production (Titles Research 2)

    I have done some more research into opening title sequences in television shows. I have broadened by search by not just looking at gameshows, but also dramas and fictional tv shows. I have decided to look into these types of shows as the majority of these shows are filmed, or filmed with a minimal use of graphics. A lot of these styles of titles originate from nordic noir television, which is not suitable for the chat show but still a good source of inspiration.

    A lot of successful television shows such as 'Boardwalk Empire' and 'Mad Men' have used this visual style for the opening titles of their show as it is a good tool to set the scene and tone of the programme. For the chat show, the titles have to resemble and represent the theme of the programme so it has to include bright colours and a light hearted feel to it so it does not come across over the top serious.
