Digital News Production (Planning 26)

For our live piece tomorrow, we are going to be using clip mics, a DSLR camera, tripod and a PEG light. We have decided to use clip mics for recording our audio because the important sound to record is of the presenter and the interviewee's, so the clip mics will be ideal to use as they will be clipped on close to their mouths, so we can get a clear, crisp audio recording. The DSLR camera is not the standard camera that would be used to record a news piece, but we have decided to use this camera because it is easier to carry as we are travelling by bus and also the DSLR will be good for filming in darker lighting. The PEG light will provide a good source of lighting while were inside the forrest filming, the filters it has on it will help the light not be too harsh on the presenter and interviewees face. And finally the tripod will be used to keep a steady shot, as we are not going to be moving during the interview this will be easy for us to get a steady shot.
