Fiction Adaption (Initial Idea 7)
I have been looking into character development recently to try and decide what my character will be wearing. In the past I haven't put too much thought into this when making films, but it is a very important factor to film making and letting the audience immerse themselves into the story. As the poem is about innocence being lost, I wanted the main character to wear white first of all. She will wear this before during the shots of her sexual assault. Then afterwards she will wear colours that are dark and dirty looking, or just a dirty looking version of the white. Then slowly the colours she wears will get darker and darker up until she decides to go and kill the sexual predators which will be where she starts to wear more colours, slowly getting more vibrant in tone. But she will still wear a bit of black which symbolises the fact what happened to her will stick with her for a very long time. The vibrant colours will symbolise her confidence coming back as well. This is an initial idea about what she will wear but more development is needed in this area.
