Digital News Production (Planning 12)

We have found an interesting bonfire related story for us to base our news piece on. The bonfire nights in Edenbridge have been very big events. They involve lots of preparation and have lots of things happening at them. But most notably, they are famous for their celebrity effigy burning. It is tradition to burn an effigy of Guy Fawkes as it was his gunpowder plot which created the day known as bonfire night. But Edenbridge, as well as burning a Guy Fawkes effigy, also burn one of a famous person who has caused controversy of some kind within the year who is negatively viewed upon by the public. Past people that have been burned are Jonathan Ross, Lance Armstrong, Suddam Hussain and many more. This tradition has gained lots of attention over the years so much so betting shops are having odds on who will be chosen as the effigy. We are planning to look into this further as it could be a great story to report on.
