Commisions (Filming 5)

Monday morning just gone, I had to help film an interview with Holly who was Louise's mentor through the YLF Mentoring Program. Originally Hannah and Sophie were going to film this interview while I did some editing, but Sophie messaged us early in the morning saying she could not make the interview so I had to go instead. The interview of Holly took place in the YLF Meeting room which is where we first met Steven to discuss our plans for the documentary.
Our interview went well in some parts but not well in others. Our main interview had two big problems. The first being a cable was hanging over the top right of the screen, which is the same problem we had when trying to record an actuality piece with Louise in the church. This mistake was completely unacceptable as we have made it once before we should have been extra careful in what we were doing. The second problem we had was the brightness, the sun outside kept appearing and disappearing behind some clouds during the interview, which affected the visual footage tremendously. Whilst filming I tried to combat this problem with twisting the exposure dial to balance out the brightness, which did not help much. We can overcome these problems through editing but matter of the fact is that we should have been much more professional with the filming of this.
